This guide provides instructions for managing your Tea subscription.

Tea is committed to providing tools that allow you to navigate your community with confidence and clarity. Our subscription service offers an enhanced suite of features designed to put more information and safety resources directly into your hands.

TEA PREMIUM TOOLKIT 

A subscription to Tea costs $14.99 per month or $89.99 per year and provides full access to our investigative and community tools.

  • Subscribers receive unlimited access to post searches, background checks, and criminal record searches.

  • The toolkit includes sex offender registry searches and reverse image lookups to help you verify information.

  • You can perform social media profile lookups and phone number lookups directly within the app.

  • The service provides automated alerts for specific names and grants access to nationwide posts.

  • Users have the ability to boost their own posts and filter community content by specific locations.


Remember: We maintain a strict no-screenshot policy to ensure the privacy and security of all shared information.


STARTING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION

Upgrading your account is a straightforward process handled within the Tea app. Please note that subscriptions are billed monthly and will automatically renew unless they are manually cancelled.

 How to Upgrade (expand) 
  • Open the Tea app and navigate to the three-line icon at the bottom of the screen.

  • Select the Settings section from the menu.

  • Tap the "Upgrade" lock icon to view the subscription details.

  • Follow the prompts provided by your device's app store or web app to confirm the $14.99 monthly charge.

MANAGING AND STOPPING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION

We aim to make managing your account as transparent as possible. If you decide to stop your subscription, you must cancel at least one day before your next scheduled billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.


Subscription Refunds

This is for informational purposes only. All financial transactions and refund requests are managed directly by the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Tea Subscriptions.

REFUND CLARITY

We believe in transparency and keeping things simple. We want you focused on the community and spilling the tea, not stressing over your bank statement. 


All sales are final. If you want to stop your subscription, you need to cancel at least 24 hours (one day) before your next billing date. If you miss that window, the app store will process the charge automatically.


REQUESTING A REFUND FROM APPLE

If you are using an iPhone, Apple holds the keys to your subscription and your money. You will need to contact them directly to request a refund.


 Apple Refund Steps (expand) 
  • Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com using your Apple ID.

  • Tap the "I'd like to" menu and select "Request a refund."

  • Tell them exactly why you’re asking for your money back from the list of reasons provided.

  • Find Tea in your list of purchases and hit Submit.

  • Apple usually gets back to you within 48 hours to let you know if they’ve approved the request.

REQUESTING A REFUND FROM GOOGLE PLAY

For Android users, Google handles the billing and the refunds. You can manage this through your browser or your Play Store account.


 Google Play Refund Steps (expand) 
  • Head to play.google.com on your computer or mobile browser.

  • Click your Profile icon and select Payments & Subscriptions.

  • Go to Budget & Order History and find your Tea subscription.

  • Click Report a problem and fill out the form stating you would like a refund.

  • Google typically makes a decision within one to four business days.

REQUESTING A REFUND FROM TEA SUBSCRIPTIONS

For Web App users, Tea Subscriptions handles the billing and the refunds. You can manage this through your browser.


 Tea Subscription Refund Steps (expand) 
  • Sign in to teaforwomen.com.

  • Open your settings (three lines) and select Upgrade. Here, you should see your active subscription.

  • Click on Cancel Subscription.

  • You will receive a pop-up that confirms your cancellation.

  • Once you receive confirmation, please reach out support@teaforwomen.com and include the following information to process your refund:

  • Username

  • Subscription Plan

  • Proof of Cancellation

THE FINE PRINT

  • All sales are final.

  • You must cancel through your device settings or through our website at least one day before the next charge is due to avoid a new monthly bill.

  • Deleting the Tea app from your phone OR deleting your account with Tea does not cancel your subscription or stop the charges. You must follow the steps in this article to fully cancel your subscription.

  • Each platform has its own rules and timelines for when a refund is actually allowed.
