Sensitive or Mature Content

Sensitive or Mature Content

Tea is a platform for open discussion about sexual content and intimacy, but even in our community, boundaries are everything.

We have strict rules against sharing intimate media of anyone, whether it’s legal pornography, or non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII). It’s banned. Period. We don’t allow users to glorify or solicit for sex trafficking, commit or hint at sextortion, or promote non-monetized sexual services. We also draw the line at sharing private, intimate details when there’s no safety concern.

It’s important to know if a partner potentially has a condition that could impact you, but we don’t allow false claims or unnecessary disclosure regarding health conditions.

SEXUAL CONTENT

Sex and intimacy are important to the Tea community, and we honor that! We expect our users to focus on helping other women, which means you must not share intimate pictures of anyone, whether you can identify who it is or not. We do not allow anything harmful or illegal, such as soliciting for sex trafficking, engaging in sextortion, or offering or soliciting sexual services, even when money isn’t exchanged.

This includes:

  • Posting or sharing any forms of non-consensual imagery, including unsolicited nude photos
  • Promoting or sharing pornographic content, even if presented as a relationship aide
  • Offering sensual massages or other non-monetary sexual services

CONSEQUENCES

The severity of violating sexual content rules varies. You should expect anything from a warning and content removal all the way to us actively engaging legal authorities if there’s evidence of a crime.

INTIMATE CONTENT

Knowing whether a potential date or partner could impact your health is knowledge you should absolutely have access to. But sharing unfounded STD or other health accusations isn’t it. When you haven’t experienced a safety concern firsthand, don’t post it. We don’t tolerate rumors, and we definitely don’t allow revenge-based disclosures about anyone on or off the platform.

This includes:

  • Sharing third party hearsay on someone’s sexual health status
  • Posting second hand, rumor-mill quality allegations about someone’s physical or mental health
  • Sharing private or unnecessarily sexualized details about a current or former partner where no safety concern was present

CONSEQUENCES

We know the line can be difficult to see sometimes. If you break this rule, we’ll give you a reminder about the policy, and ask you to not do it again. Repeated violations will end in a deactivation.
