Inauthentic Accounts and Behaviors
We know Tea is popular, so it’s no surprise to us that people try to sneak onto the platform. That’s why we require all users to prove their identity before joining our community, and we do our best to keep the unqualified users out of our community. But, nobody’s perfect.
We have a zero tolerance policy for deception. We do not tolerate any coordinated attempts to abuse our platform, including impersonating women, selling accounts, using automated bots to post content, or engaging in any kind of fake user activity. We’re building a real community here, and fake behavior has no place on our platform.
COORDINATED ABUSE
We love our active, thriving community, but we don’t tolerate any disruption to genuine interactions. We don’t allow deceptive accounts, paid services, or any kind of schemes to influence a man’s reputation, whether that’s falsely defending him or purposefully sabotaging him. We also don’t tolerate brigaded user reports against any Tea user, or the use of bots or automation to systematically interfere with anyone’s experience.
This includes:
- Mass “green-flagging” or “red-flagging” on a post about a man through coordinated efforts
- Incessant, repetitive reports on the same user from the same person
- Using scripts or automated tools to drive any sort of engagement
CONSEQUENCES
This behavior will result in an immediate ban.
ACCOUNT INTEGRITY
We pride ourselves on operating with integrity, and we expect our members to do the same. If we find content or accounts that are pretending to be someone they’re not or that are spammy or scammy, you will not be allowed on the platform.
This includes:
- Accounts run by men or third-party “reputation saver” services
- Accounts that are women but that are operating on behalf of someone else
- Repetitive posts that have nothing to do with the conversation
- Trying to trick other users into revealing sensitive data
CONSEQUENCES
This will result in an immediate ban.
