Minor Safety
We do not play around with minor safety, period. It is never okay to share intimate pictures of minors, to sexualize children, or in any way positively portray mental, emotional, or physical abuse or neglect involving someone under 18.
We take accusations of promoting or participating in these activities very, very seriously. If you credibly suggest that someone is sexually or otherwise harming children, we may report that person to the authorities. Do not falsely accuse or smear anyone using claims of child endangerment, as the consequences for both you and the subject of your claim are severe.
This is an 18+ platform, which means minors are not allowed here. No accounts, no pictures, and no sharing of their private details, like names.
This policy is simple: leave kids alone.
CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
Sexual abuse of a child is serious, so serious that we have a zero tolerance policy, and will report it immediately to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This covers any kind of sexual content of a child, including selfies or content they made themselves. Grooming a minor or pressuring a minor for sexual content is intolerable, and will be immediately reported to authorities.
If you ever see child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on Tea, report it immediately to us. We will never penalize you for hitting the report button.
But this is critical: do NOT download it, record it, or share it in any way. That’s illegal. Trust we will look at your report and take action.
CONSEQUENCES
If we become aware of any Tea user engaging in the abuse or exploitation of a minor, we'll issue a permanent ban, and report the incident to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Additionally, we will alert the relevant law enforcement agencies if we believe a child is in credible, imminent danger.
CHILD PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, OR MENTAL ABUSE
Physical, emotional, or mental abuse of a minor leaves lasting damage. Any user or content caught promoting or celebrating this kind of behavior goes against everything Tea stands for; we’re here to provide safety, not promote harm.
This includes:
- Advocating for spanking or hitting a child
- Suggesting a child deserved some sort of harsh punishment
- Making light of child abuse, even if the content is presented as culturally acceptable humor or custom
Discussing child abuse that may have happened to you or has happened to others is allowed, as long as you’re not glorifying it. It’s important to share experiences to help others stay safe, and our community deserves to know about dangerous people.
CONSEQUENCES
All other forms of promoting abuse break this rule, and you will be immediately banned.
