Takedown requests by non-Users
Tea is a platform designed for women to share truthful experiences to help protect others from the risks of online dating. We take our legal obligations and community safety seriously. If you are not a user of the app but believe content should be removed, use this guide to understand our policies and submission requirements.
OUR MISSION AND SECTION 230
Tea falls within the scope of online platforms contemplated by Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. We believe in the power of open dialogue and community accountability to help women navigate the disproportionate dangers of modern dating.
We typically do not remove, modify, or revoke access to content that a user has posted.
Crowdsourced information allows women to warn and support one another in real-time.
Users are encouraged to engage in conversation or respectfully disagree with posts to keep the platform balanced.
We prioritize the mission of safety and the protection of our community’s right to share their stories.
PROTECTING MINORS
We have zero tolerance for minors on the platform, whether they are users or individuals featured in content. Reports involving minors are prioritized and reviewed immediately.
TAKEDOWN PROCESS
To request the removal of content, you must fill out the official form at our Takedown Request Center. This ensures our team has the specific data points needed to investigate the claim.
COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
We take intellectual property rights and our legal obligations under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) seriously. We require specific legal elements to process any notice of claimed infringement.
RESOLUTION AND STATUS UPDATES
Once you submit a takedown request via the appropriate form, our team will evaluate the information and determine if the content violates our Community Guidelines or legal standards. You will receive a notification once we've made a decision, and we will consider the matter resolved once a final decision has been communicated.
