Setting up and staying secure
Getting into the app should be the easiest part of your day. Here is how to join and keep your account locked down.
CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT
You must use the same method to log in that you used to sign up. If you originally chose the Meta login or the Apple login, you must continue to use that specific button. Changing your login method later will require you to create a completely new account.
On Apple iOS (expand)
Note: You must already have Tea installed to use it as an iOS app. We are currently unavailable for new downloads in the App Store, but you can still access the platform on your iPhone by navigating to app.teaforwomen.com using Safari or your preferred mobile browser.
Select your preferred social login method from the menu.
Complete the identity verification process.
Accept the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Download Tea from the Google Play Store.
Select your preferred social login method from the menu.

Go to app.teaforwomen.com.
Select your login method from the list.
Complete the identity verification process.
Confirm your email address via the link sent to your inbox.
Accept the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
IDENTITY VERIFICATION PROCESS
Tea uses an instant verification process through a trusted third-party so you don't have to deal with waiting lists. You have two options for verifying your account.
Live face verification (expand)
This is the fastest way to get accepted. The process creates a 3-D rendering of your face and is currently available on the Android app and the Tea App website.
Select "Fast verification" on the identity verification page.
Move to an area with good lighting and fit your face into the oval on the screen.
Rotate your head as prompted by the app.
Verification takes about 30 seconds.
Government ID (expand)
Use this option if you prefer not to use the 3-D rendering performed during the "Fast verification". We may also request you choose this option if we're unable to perform the live 3-D rendering. This method uses a static selfie and photos of your identification card.
Select "Verified with ID" on the identity verification page.
Click "continue", which will open your phone's camera.
Upload your government ID by focusing the camera on your ID facial picture.
Once cleared, take a static selfie within the app in good lighting.
Note that processing for this method may take longer than the "Fast verification" option.
IF THE IDENTIFICATION PROCESS FAILS
There may be times where our systems can't process your verification as expected.
If the facial recognition in the "Fast verification" option is unable to verify you, we may ask you to complete the "Government ID" option instead.
