WHY WAS MY POST REMOVED?
We’re here to keep the facts straight and the feed clean. If your post disappeared, it’s likely because it violated a specific community standard designed to protect the integrity of the platform.
Common removal reasons (expand)
We remove duplicate posts to ensure the feed remains useful and isn't cluttered with the same information repeatedly.
If a man is posted in multiple cities that are within the same 100-mile radius, we will clear out the extra posts.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for posting women on Tea, regardless of the situation or relationship history.
Posts containing personal information like social media handles or last names in the images will be removed to protect privacy.
You can always edit your post to remove handles or last names and re-upload just the photos of the individual.
WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE MAKES A FALSE POST?
Tea is a platform for sharing truthful experiences, not baseless drama. We have a process in place to handle claims of untruthful content while protecting our users' right to share their stories.

All users are required to confirm the truth of their statements before any content is submitted to the platform.
We may occasionally contact the original poster and require them to reaffirm that their claims are true, but this is not a standard practice.
We believe in community accountability and encourage users to respectfully disagree in the comments if they have a different experience.

WHY WAS I WARNED OR DEACTIVATED?
We don’t restrict accounts without cause. If you received a warning or a deactivation, it means our moderation team flagged behavior that compromises the safety or honesty of the community.
Understanding warnings and deactivations (expand)
We issue warnings for first-time violations of most community guidelines.
Deactivations can occur when a user repeatedly ignores community guidelines after being warned.
Taking screenshots is a major security violation and will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the platform.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or using the platform to post women or minors.
Using the app to coordinate targeted harassment against a specific individual will lead to an instant loss of account access.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I REPORT SOMETHING?
Every report is added to our moderation queue to be reviewed by a human. We don’t just delete things because they were flagged; we look at the facts to see if our rules were actually broken.

Our team evaluates the reported content against our community guidelines to see if a violation occurred.
If a post or comment is found to be harmful, fraudulent, or a violation of privacy, it is removed immediately.
Reports involving the safety of minors are prioritized and handled with the highest level of urgency.
If the reported content is found to be in compliance with our rules, it will remain live on the platform.
We do not provide play-by-play updates on every report, but we ensure the community remains balanced and safe.
CAN SOMEONE SEE THAT I'VE REPORTED THEM?
Your safety is the entire reason Tea exists. We make sure that you can look out for the community without worrying about being targeted for it.

All reports made on the platform are completely confidential and anonymous.
The user you reported will never be notified that a report was filed against them.
We do not share the identity of a reporter with the person who posted the content under any circumstances.
We protect your anonymity so you feel empowered to flag behavior that doesn't belong on the app.
